Analytical Chemistry Project Manager

Key Organics Ltd are looking to recruit a Project Manager to head the Analytical Chemistry Department at our facility in Camelford Cornwall UK.  
The role involves coordinating all aspects of our growing Analytical service within a constantly changing and dynamic environment. You will need to be able to keep a clear overview of day to day analytical activity in support of our chemists, as well as pushing forward strategic projects. An adaptable and flexible approach is required where resourcefulness, creativity and problem solving will be a routine part of the job. Excellent communication skills are essential as in addition to supervising two analytical chemists the role will involve liaising with staff and managers from all areas within the company and with external customers and contractors. A solid background in organic chemistry is required, as well as practical experience within an analytical laboratory. Experience of running samples, maintaining and troubleshooting instruments and method development on HPLC, LCMS, GC and preparative LCMS instruments are essential, as is a sound knowledge and practical experience of 1H, 13C & 2-D NMR. Experience working within quality environments such as ISO 9001, GLP or GMP would be an advantage, as would experience of other analytical techniques such as Chiral HPLC or SFC.

Organic Chemist with significant Scale Up/Process Development experience up to 20L scale

A vacancy has arisen for an Organic Chemist with experience of Scale Up/Process Development chemistry.  
Reporting to a Senior level, you will be expected to take a pro-active approach and work efficiently under minimal supervision. As a member of our team of experienced chemists you will be expected to deliver a first-class service to our clients and contribute to the growth and development of Key Organics. You will join a fantastic team of hard-working scientists with a strong track record of delivering successful projects. The ideal candidate will bring positivity, and possess excellent communication, team working and people skills and be computer literate.  
Additional Responsibilities: • Developing and optimising existing and new scalable processes. • Provide process optimisation from bench up to 20lt scale. Minimum Qualifications: • Graduate or PhD in Organic Chemistry • At least 3 years’ experience in a laboratory based manufacturing and industrial environment • Experience of interpretation of HPLC, GC column chromatography, mass spectroscopy, and NMR. Skills: • The successful candidate will need to be able to communicate directly with our clients. (e.g. Provide regular reports, delivery of teleconferences and face-to-face updates) • Work collaboratively and respectfully with other members of staff to achieve successful outcomes. • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities. • Strong aptitude with laboratory bench scale experimentation and process development work. • Experienced in the use of computer software for literature searching and reporting (e.g. Reaxys, ELN).

Synthetic Organic Chemist

A vacancy has arisen for a Synthetic Organic Chemist.  
As a Synthetic Organic Chemist working within the area of Contract and Custom Synthesis, you will be expected to take a pro-active approach and work efficiently under minimal supervision. As a member of our team of experienced chemists you will be expected to deliver a first-class service to our clients and contribute to the growth and development of Key Organics. You will join a fantastic team of hard-working scientists with a strong track record of delivering successful projects. The successful candidate will bring positivity and possess excellent problem solving, team working and people skills, and be computer literate.
