Rafoxanide is a anthelmintic agent that expels parasites from sheep and cattle. Effective against Haemonchus contortus and Oestrus ovis. Action is assumed to be through the suppression of the activity of succinate dehydrogenase and fumarate reductase, thereby effecting the motility of parasites. Ref: Vet. Rec. 1970; 87 (7), 213-4.
